Palibex is celebrating after a resounding victory in a regatta as prestigious as the Copa del Rey MAPFRE, which took place from July 29th to August 5th in Palma de Mallorca.
The urgent transport network relied on the Swan 42 Elena Nova and its crew, who put on a remarkable performance in this competition by maintaining their lead throughout all the days, both in the preliminary phase and in the final.
Palibex concludes its second participation in this prestigious regatta with a clear victory in the ORC 1 class, achieving results only possible for a great team: 5 first places and 1 second place.
The team received the cup accrediting them as the winners of the Copa del Rey MAPFRE from His Majesty King Felipe VI, who finished in second place with the vessel “Aifos” of the Navy.
After receiving the award, Palibex’s CEO, Jaime Colsa, expressed great excitement about the victory of the PBX Sailing Team: “It is a tremendous satisfaction to stand at the top of the podium in only our second participation in the Copa del Rey MAPFRE. Once again, we have proven to be the fastest and the importance of having a good team,” he stated.
