The pallet delivery network Palibex has ended the year moving 900,788 pallets, which represents a 4.1% increase compared to last year, and it has done so with a 97% quality rate. According to Palibex’s general director, María Luisa Romero, this growth has occurred in an orderly manner and as a result of two years of preparing the network to accommodate a higher volume.
Despite the uncertainty in the sector, both Palibex and its franchisees are growing thanks to a new operational model based on direct routes and coordination centers.
Proof of this has been the holiday season, during which activity peaks exceeding 5,000 pallets were reached while maintaining a high level of quality in deliveries. “We were eager to see how the network would perform under stress tests like those of this holiday season, and it has performed extraordinarily well both due to good management of backhauls and the minimal incidents recorded,” Romero emphasizes.
CEO Jaime Colsa is pleased because the results confirm that the decentralization process has been successful and that the network is efficient and flexible to adapt to volume, always providing the best service: “Since we started operating, we have prioritized quality above all to not fail our customers, especially at the time of year when they need us the most, especially those in the fast-moving consumer goods sector,” he states.
Jaime Colsa highlights that 2023 has shown how important it has been to invest in having a well-sized network. “When you bet on quality, volume starts to come, and more and more, peaks turn into averages in less time.”
