The network has increased 32% in 2021
Reliability in the services, and consistent quality in all the network are two of the main objectives for 2022
Palibex’s results in 2021 have been very positive both in terms of volume and service quality. The express transport network has finished the year with more than 817.000 pallets, which means a 32% increase since last year and a 36% above 2019, taken as reference year prior to the pandemic.
The daily average of pallets was 3.272, even though in months such as November, they exceeded 4.000 and, in the recent Christmas campaign, even reached peaks in activity with 4.894 pallets.
In the company they feel very content with “the behavior and compromise level of their franchise network”, specially during the last trimester of 2021, in which they registered high volumes and had to face the unsuccessful sector strike. “Palibex didn’t get saturated and was able to maintain or even increase their delivery quality levels, that demonstrates that we are a consolidated network, even when there were maximum volumes”, they stated.
Palibex’s main projects of 2022 are focused in maintaining the reliability in their services and a constant and homogeneous quality level despite geographic dispersion. “We want quality above volume, throughout the year and everywhere”, states Palibex new General Manager, María Luisa Romero.
“Being able to maintain the quality level above 96% has been more important than growing in terms of volume, as it means that we are reliable. And this is the best thing you can be in the transport world, based on trust”, she stated.
In the upcoming months, Palibex will continue to incorporate new international destinations y developing their network internally to be even quicker with their services and to improve the profitability with their franchisees. In this sense, they will enhance their regional HUBS, mainly in the northern area, with new routes to Barcelona and Galicia “searching for quickness in the areas of Spain where pallets take longer to arrive”. The activity from the HUB in Valladolid, which is expected to reach its maximum performance in April, will be essential for the design of this new route.
Just as Romero explains, Palibex continues to evolve towards a more decentralized model, “trying to benefit from the current volumes to have more direct deliveries that allow us to be the quickest and most competitive”.
All this while the company organizes a commemorative program of their X Anniversary, destined to celebrate, with employees, franchisees, and collaborators, the company’s achievements during this decade.
