Even though it was a complicated year for the sector, Palibex has closed 2022 with more than 865.000 pallets, which means a growth of the 6% with respect to the previous year. Moreover, the Network has reached an average of 97% in the quality of deliveries.
The express transport company has stated that external factors such as the increase of gas prices or the unemployment in March have affected their activity. However, they celebrate having been able to react in a quick way, reassuring the strength of their network, and being able to achieve their yearly goals, both in volume of pallets and quality of service.
“Despite the wind blowing against us, the results of 2022 have been very positive, and we have achieved our main objective, that was to shape the network in order to grow as much as we wanted”, highlights Palibex’s General Director, María Luisa Romero.
In this sense, Palibex has undertaken during the past year big investments to complete their decentralization process with the creation of direct routes and HUBS. Similarly, they have improved the operative in the Madrid HUB with new loading systems, expansion of the spaces, and technological advancements. Thanks to all this, they managed to increase their operational capacity to a 50%.
This new Network model will enable them to move higher volumes of goods with the same quality: “we want to grow in a sustainable way, and that is only achieved if we have the most reliable and competitive services”, claims María Luisa Romero.
With a bigger and well-dimensioned network, Palibex’s development plan for the upcoming years is very ambitious and, for the moment, foresees a growth of more than 10% in 2023. “We have confidence in ourselves, and we are not going to be influenced by the environment or by the current uncertainty”, she adds.
Moreover, Palibex keeps growing outside our borders. Currently, its connected with 11 countries and one of the main projects of 2023 is strengthen their international services, from which they expect a great development.
