ULMA Success Story with One Express and Palibex in Italy

One Express has presented a success story of its international activity alongside Palibex and its client ULMA Architectural Solutions, who was invited to visit the headquarters of this express pallet network in Italy to explore new distribution opportunities in the country.

ULMA Architectural Solutions is part of the ULMA Group and is a Basque cooperative dedicated to prefabricated products for the construction sector. It currently generates more than 1 billion euros in revenue and employs around 5,000 workers in the Guipúzcoa area.

As explained by Jokin Alberdi, their Purchasing Manager, 60% of their production is exported, mainly to Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, which is why they have been working with Palibex for years “with a very satisfactory level of service.”

“We are looking for a global partnership with Palibex and One Express with the same synergy we have with this network in Spain,” says Alberdi. They have already been collaborating in southern Italy, and now new opportunities are opening up in other areas through direct Spain-Italy distribution or from ULMA’s subsidiary in this country, located in Reggio Emilia.

Jokin Alberdi is confident in the success of this partnership, a point that is confirmed by the manager of One Express’s international network, Alessandro Gagliardelli: “The international activity we develop alongside Palibex enhances our business and the image of our network, recognized by the market as the best in the country.”

A Relationship Based on Quality

Palibex’s International Director, Lluis Gay, believes that the most significant achievement of this collaboration has been the establishment of a daily quality service that is helping both networks grow in volume and build a stronger reputation in a highly competitive market. “We have shown our franchisees that they can trust the service we offer and, above all, that they can make their customers trust it,” he says.

Additionally, as noted by Palibex’s International Manager, Oscar Nevado, international expansion is a key pillar for this network, which will continue to support its franchisees in commercial and marketing tasks.

“The Italian market is one of the fastest-growing, and this partnership is one of the strongest because we share values, a way of understanding logistics and transportation, and trusted relationships with our customers.” In summary, “Palibex and One Express represent the same quality and the same service,” emphasizes Nevado.

Finally, Claudio Franceschelli, President and Affiliate of One Express, emphasizes the “perfect harmony” between the two networks because both prioritize quality over quantity. “We haven’t had any differences because we work with quality, shipment traceability, and the same delivery times,” he points out.
